Staff Motivation Scheme 2010/2011 Intellectual Property Investigation Bureau 'Best Team Spirit' Awards

The Staff Motivation Scheme, launched by the Civil Service Bureau, is aimed at promoting staff awareness of the commitment to the department’s performance pledges and motivating staff towards continuous improvement of service to serve the community.
Funded under the Staff Motivation Scheme, the Intellectual Property Investigation Bureau (IPIB) held the 'Best Team Spirit' Competition this year. Awards were assessed on a team basis, based on the co-operativeness, productivity & performance, level of difficulty, effectiveness in deployment of resources, distribution of responsibility & mutual support, and demonstration of professional image to serve the community.
The presentation ceremony for the competition was held on 1 April 2011. Assistant Commissioner (Intelligence and Investigation) TAM Yiu-keung was the chairman of the adjudication panel and the guest of honour. The Champion was the Raiding & Follow-up Team 2 of Copyright Investigation Division, whose enforcement action against a piracy syndicate displayed a high level of team work and efficiency. The 1st Runner-up was the Office Management & Support Unit, whose excellent planning and dedicated spirit motivated the whole Bureau well through the relocation exercise in December 2010. The 2nd Runner-up was the Surveillance Team of Trade Descriptions Investigation Division, whose surveillance operation displayed a high level of co-operation and organization.
Assistant Commissioner TAM Yiu-keung extended his congratulations to the winning teams and encouraged all to promote team spirits to enhance enforcement effectiveness of the Command.
