2010 International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference
Date: 27/08/2010
The Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department will co-host an important conference, namely, the “2010 International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference” with the INTERPOL between 19-21 October 2010 at the Hong Kong Grand Hyatt Hotel. The theme of this year’s Conference is “Working Together to Break Organized Crime”. It will bring together about 400 attendees from different corners of the world and will feature operational workshops focused on best practices that can be utilized by customs, police, prosecutors and right holders to combat the growing threat posed by transnational organized IP crime.
It is the first time that the Conference is convened in Asia and co-hosted with Customs instead of Police. The Conference will put emphasis on high-level strategy rather than providing practical operational solutions to common problems. There will be operational workshops to engage and challenge participants to work together to share and develop cutting edge strategies and tactics focused on defeating organized IP crime at the international level.
Private sector organizations involved in fighting IP crime are encouraged to join the Conference and profit from improved practical expertise, knowledge and specialist skills. For more information of the Conference, you may visit website (https://www.signup4.net/public/ap.aspx?EID=INTE1992E&OID=50) or contact SI YY Shek of IPIB at 2851 1623 (telephone) or yy_shek@customs.gov.hk (e-mail).
