‘IP Insight’ – Kick Start

With the first seminar entitled “US ICE’s Approach to Protecting IPRs” held on 9 May 2014, the ‘IP Insight’ - a programme with a series of IP seminars covering various inspiring IP issues had been launched.

The speaker, Mr. Thomas S Winkowski, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) delivered a talk on IPR issues to IPRPA members.

Mr. Winkowski shared his views with audiences on ICE’s strategic approach to combat IP crimes and the ways to protect IPR through investigation, interdiction and training.

The seminar not only successfully enriched IPRPA members’ understanding on the current approaches of US ICE to combat IP crimes, it also fostered better cooperation with counterparts and IPR industry worldwide.
